Any parent under enough chronic stress can become an abusive parent. The difference between “us" and "them" is achieved through education, family support and healing through counseling. With just a little support that can easily be provided by a friend or a volunteer, child abuse can be stopped cold.

Parent Help U.S.A. has collaborated with high school students, youth ministries and community service clubs to serve the "Motel Children" families with outreach services. Youth Against Violence members teach children nonviolence with arts, crafts and puppets.

Founded in 1986 to help at risk families change, the Parent Help USA Center brings together Orange County professional therapists, business leaders and lay people to reduce and ultimately prevent child abuse.

Building awareness and changing attitudes about child abuse requires the widespread support of our members. Without your support - financial, in-kind, and all-important volunteer efforts - Parent Help USA could never attain it's goals. Members, lay people and licensed counselors who volunteer their time and help raise funds are the life spring of our organization. With only one paid staff member, we're not just being gracious here. All of these efforts truly change the lives of those in need. And they save the lives of at risk children daily.
